flow pillow packing machine

This three-servo horizontal pillow packing machine uses a top-film feeding system and chain pusher conveyor to wrap regularly shaped solid products. Products are placed at controlled intervals, guided through film forming, longitudinal sealing, end sealing and cutting, then discharged as individual pillow packs. It is designed for biscuits, bread, snack bars, soap bars, masks and similar items requiring consistent product positioning, adjustable bag dimensions and continuous packaging.

Product Overview

This machine is a three-servo horizontal form-fill-seal packaging system designed for individual solid products that can travel steadily on a chain pusher conveyor. The top-film feeding layout allows the film to enter from above while products move through the infeed section at controlled spacing. The machine then forms the film around each item, creates the longitudinal seal, completes the transverse end seals, cuts the package and transfers the finished pillow pack to the discharge side.

It is intended for food, bakery, confectionery, frozen snack and daily-use product packaging where each item has a relatively regular shape and can remain stable during conveying. Typical users include food processors, bakeries, snack manufacturers, contract packers and consumer-goods factories.

The three-servo system coordinates product feeding, film movement and end sealing to support size adjustments and continuous operation. Products may be loaded manually or connected to a compatible upstream feeding arrangement after the product spacing and line layout are confirmed. The machine helps reduce repetitive manual wrapping, maintain consistent package dimensions and organize products for retail, transport or secondary packaging.

Applications

This machine is suitable for individually wrapping solid products with a regular or reasonably stable shape. Final suitability depends on the product dimensions, surface condition, feeding stability, packaging film and required speed. Products that are sticky, fragile, wet, frozen, irregularly shaped or difficult to space consistently should be verified through a sample test.

This machine is suitable for:

  • Biscuits and cookies
  • Wafer blocks and wafer bars
  • Bread loaves, buns and toast slices
  • Cakes and individual pastries
  • Chocolate bars
  • Cereal bars and protein bars
  • Candy bars and confectionery products
  • Ice pops and frozen snack bars
  • Soap bars
  • Disposable face masks
  • Cleaning sponges
  • Individually wrapped vegetables with stable shapes
  • Small trays and boxed products within the size range

A product and film test is recommended for frozen, moist, fragile, irregular or easily deformed products.

Main Features

1. Three-Servo Coordinated Control

The servo system coordinates product conveying, film feeding and end sealing to support continuous packaging and more convenient adjustment when product or bag dimensions change.

2. Top-Film Feeding Structure

The packaging film is supplied from above the product path, making the machine suitable for products that require controlled positioning on the infeed conveyor.

3. Chain Pusher Infeed Conveyor

Individual pushers maintain product spacing and guide each item toward the forming section, helping prevent irregular feeding during continuous operation.

4. Adjustable Package Dimensions

The machine supports a film width of 80–340 mm, bag widths of 30–160 mm and different bag-length ranges according to the selected knife configuration.

5. Broad Packing Speed Range

The specified operating range is 40–230 bags per minute, with actual output depending on product size, bag length, film characteristics and feeding stability.

6. Single- or Double-Knife Configuration

Different knife arrangements provide different available bag-length ranges, allowing the sealing and cutting section to be matched to the required package size.

7. Touchscreen Operation

The control interface allows operators to set and monitor relevant packaging parameters from a centralized control panel.

8. Continuous Sealing and Cutting

The machine forms the longitudinal seal and completes transverse end sealing and cutting during continuous product movement.

9. Compact Integrated Structure

The infeed conveyor, film feeding section, sealing unit, electrical controls and discharge section are integrated into one horizontal packaging system.

Working Principle

Products are placed manually or transferred from a compatible upstream system onto the chain pusher infeed conveyor. The pushers maintain the required product spacing and move each item toward the forming section. Roll film is unwound from the top-film feeding system and guided around the product to create a continuous package tube.

The machine forms the longitudinal seal while the product advances. The three-servo system coordinates conveyor movement, film feeding and the end-sealing cutter according to the selected bag length. The transverse sealing jaws close between products, form the front and rear seals and cut the packages apart.

Finished pillow packs then leave the sealing section through the discharge conveyor. Actual settings should be confirmed according to product length, height, film characteristics and target output.

Process Flow:
Product Placement → Chain Pusher Conveying → Top-Film Feeding → Film Forming → Longitudinal Sealing → End Sealing → Cutting → Finished Pack Discharge

Machine Details

1. Chain Pusher Infeed Conveyor

The long horizontal conveyor carries individual products toward the packaging section. Chain-mounted pushers help maintain consistent spacing and reduce product movement during feeding.

2. Top-Film Unwinding System

The film holder supports roll film with a maximum confirmed roll diameter of 320 mm and supplies the film from above the product path.

3. Film Forming Section

The forming section guides the flat roll film around the incoming product and creates the basic pillow-package shape before sealing.

4. Longitudinal Sealing Unit

This section closes the film continuously along the length of the package to form the main longitudinal seal.

5. End Sealing and Cutting Unit

The transverse sealing jaws form the front and rear seals between products and separate the continuous film into individual packages.

6. Three-Servo Drive System

The servo drives coordinate the conveyor, film movement and sealing cutter, helping the machine maintain synchronized operation across the packaging process.

7. Touchscreen Control Panel

The touchscreen provides a centralized interface for machine operation and adjustment of available packaging settings.

8. Electrical Cabinet

The cabinet contains the machine’s electrical control and drive components. The supplied detail image shows separated control and drive areas inside the machine body.

9. Protective Sealing Cover

The colored protective cover surrounds the sealing and cutting area to limit direct access to moving components during operation.

10. Discharge Conveyor

After sealing and cutting, completed pillow packs are transferred away from the end-sealing section for collection or connection to downstream equipment.
